300 already

This is my 300th post here on SFGEMS.  It's an anniversary of sorts!  Yay!  Celebrate later!

I've not been writing much and it's not because I have nothing to say or share.  I've just not been on my computer as often as I used to be.  Most of the things that I need to do, can be done with my HP now.

I can't do a blogpost on my HP.  I need to touch type because once I start writing, there's so much I want to say and I need my keyboard!!  

Mitch Albom said, "Nothing haunts us like the things we don't say.  For this reason, I'm glad that I have said a lot in both my blogs.  Stories that I thought I would never tell, have now been told.  Those stories will no longer haunt me.  They have been released on the world wide web and are no longer secrets kept inside of me.

For every blog post that I do, there are probably dozens more that I don't.  I have evolved.  I have changed from wanting to tell the world everything. It's also one of the reasons for leaving Facebook. Everybody wants to tell the world everything. Maybe I had an overdose when people began to show their disrespect for boundaries.  Whatever the case, I'm not analysing too much because I've moved on.

This blog has always been an avenue to just ramble on about what affects me.  Comments are nice but they don't define me.  I write because I like it.  The personal satisfaction of writing is enough for me.

People may or may not read and it doesn't much matter.  The reason I say this is because a couple of nights ago, I was browsing through some of the stuff I'd written and as I began to read the posts of two or three years ago, it was like reading it for the first time. I had totally forgotten about what I wrote and maybe I'm going to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, but I so enjoyed reading my own stuff.  Hahahahahaha *toot toot*

If I can't remember what I wrote last year, it'll be refreshing to re-read the stuff here when I'm 70 or 80 years old. Will it  make me smile or shiver? I'm sure though that it will be entertaining (for me).  It's like giving me a future gift! Why not, eh?

We save money for our future so why not save memories, too?  

There are so many things that I would have forgotten by then and my blog is like a timeline of my life since before I retired.  Each piece will trigger a memory. 

In Peru, they sometimes say, "salud, dinero y amor" (health, money and love) when they have a toast.
