For this child...

We were in Kota Kinabalu again.  Stephen and I feel like one of the locals already.  It's not surprising because this was our fourth visit this year alone.

This trip was especially meaningful because our grand-daughter Cayla was baptised last Sunday (20 October 2019).  From the time she was born, we have always called her a Jesus girl.  Now she is officially one!  Fr. Max said she is a  New Creation ~2 Corinthians 5:17 and this is a bible verse close to our hearts.

Although the blessed sacrament was at 3 pm, it wasn't too hot.  And as soon as it was over, the rain fell and, as always, we consider it as showers of blessings.

Apart from a lovely reunion with the entire Yong family, we also had moments of quality time alone.  One thing that Stephen and I share is that we enjoy having company but we are also happy just being on our own.

Needless to say, it was also a gastronomic holiday.  Doesn't food always taste better when eaten together as a family?  When everyone was present, there were twelve adults, four children, and three babies!  It was fun and something so contrasting to our life here in Singapore.

I'm putting this here to remember the date and how wonderful it is to be able to witness all the "firsts" of our beautiful and beloved grandchild.
