Hurricane Sandy

Pic from FB

As Hurricane Sandy reaches the shores of the US Eastern coastline, the news comes trickling in about what people are doing and how they are bracing themselves for the onslaught of the wind and rain.

It's times like this when I wonder if people realise that what we have and making the best of it is really all that matters.

It took a fire, the other night, to make me think about what I have and what I need.

Now when I see this life-threatening and life-changing storm for so many, I am again reminded that I don't need to have it all.

What I have is really all I need.

I pray that this will pass quickly for those affected.

  2. I agree - sometimes we just get wayyy too complacent about our lives, and it takes something like this to jolt us into realising how good it is.

I thought I heard that they've down-graded the storm in Hawaii, but I'm not sure, really. I hope that all is well over there.

    1. Didn't realise there were two comments here. Yes, for sure, whenever there is a major catastrophe somewhere, we stop to take stock of our lives.

  3. I just read that New York and the surrounding areas are in lockdown mode. They've nick-named it Frankenstorm - sounds really scary to me.

    1. Yes, Sandy will meet up with a cold front and morph into Frankenstorm. It does sound scary. I'm hoping everyone has shelter. It would be so sad to not have anywhere to go to.

  4. The crazy thing is, once you've found out about climatological warfare (how utterly insane!) you begin to wonder every time stuff like this happens - is it a "naturally occurring" freak storm? Or some convoluted experiment to see if massive panic and destruction can be unleashed on specific targets? Those with access to science-fiction weaponry like HAARP don't give a damn about nations, ethnicity or belief systems; they are above it all and are entirely into power! I have many friends scattered along the Eastern Seaboard of North America, so I'm keeping fingers crossed that only minimal damage will ensue.

    1. Oh I hadn't thought about HAARP since the earthquake in New Zealand and Japan.

Joining you to cross my fingers but it doesn't seem that minimal damage will be the news of the day. :(
